I. Case Background: Sludge Transportation Challenges Drive Procurement Demand In spring 2024, the municipal sanitation department of a city in Northeast China (Daqing) faced a surge in sludge volume due to expansion and renovation of its urban wastewater treatment plant—daily sludge processing capacity increased sharply from 80 tons to 160 tons. Internal Vehicle Selection: Comparative Evaluation Leads to Sinotruk Chassis Within policy and budget constraints, the procurement division conducted an initial screening of mainstream sludge transport trucks available on the market.
