Case Study and Bid-winning Solution Analysis of the Yancheng Municipal Government’s Procurement of Dongfeng Double-Cab Sludge Suction Trucks (Blue License Plate, 3 m³) In municipal drainage system maintenance, sludge removal is a critical measure for ensuring urban flood prevention and safety. Feedback from on-site operators indicated good chassis stability and a double-cab design accommodating five personnel—facilitating team-based operations. However, after three months of use, several issues emerged: the hydraulic system exhibited excessive oil temperature after two consecutive hours of high-load operation; grab bucket efficiency fell short of expectations—especially when handling compacted sludge, requiring repeated attempts; and insufficient corrosion protection on the superstructure led to bolt rusting under the coastal salt-fog environment.
