Amid the scorching summer heat, an order for 16 hook-lift garbage trucks from a Hunan sanitation company brought a refreshing breeze. These high-value, high-quality units were shipped from Hubei Chengli to Yueyang, Hunan. Placing a single order for 16 units reflects not only the client’s strong trust in us but also Hubei Chengli’s reputable standing within the industry. When customers confidently choose Chengli vehicles, their confidence becomes our greatest motivation. Prior to this order of 16 units, the sanitation company had already purchased two prototype vehicles from Hubei Chengli. From initial technical consultations to contract signing and advance payment, the process took over one month. However, Chengli completed production and delivery of the two hook-lift garbage trucks in just 12 days after the order was placed. After receiving the vehicles, the sanitation company operated them under high-load conditions for half a month and expressed high satisfaction with Chengli’s products. They promptly submitted the remaining procurement plan for approval. As is widely known, implementation of sanitation projects involves lengthy timelines due to rigorous planning, budget preparation, and formal approval procedures. Yet the project owner could no longer wait—the end users, burdened daily by labor-intensive manual handling of trash bins, urgently sought mechanized solutions to significantly reduce manpower and material costs. Mechanized garbage collection and transportation represents the future trend in urban sanitation operations. Responding precisely to customer needs and addressing urgent requirements, Chengli’s sanitation vehicle workshop team devoted full effort to this order—working overtime to deliver all vehicles within 15 days. Following the initial order for two units, Mr. Zhang, General Manager of Chengli’s Sales Department, immediately coordinated with the Technical Department to review previously discussed technical specifications with the client—and further optimize design details for superior on-site performance. Improvements included: adding an inclined waterproof channel inside the self-loading garbage truck body; replacing manual doors with hydraulic对接 (hydraulic-coupling) doors; upgrading standard rubber seals to more durable silicone seals; substituting conventional chain-type lifting mechanisms with rod-type hydraulic lifting devices; installing three-sided splash guards around the top loading aperture to prevent waste spillage during bin unloading; equipping the cab with dedicated air conditioning to ensure operator comfort during hot summer months; adding rear-view cameras to enhance safety during reversing maneuvers; and installing musical horns—typically found on water-sprinkling trucks but rarely seen on garbage trucks—thereby reinforcing the standardized, unified image of the sanitation authority. This batch of 16 hook-lift garbage trucks comprises: 14 units of 4-cubic-meter Foton self-loading garbage trucks, featuring a 2,280 mm wheelbase, a fully domestic 4-cylinder 88-hp engine, and a 5-speed transmission; and 2 units of 5-cubic-meter Dongfeng hook-lift garbage trucks, equipped with a 3,308 mm wheelbase, a fully domestic 4-cylinder 115-hp engine, and a 5-speed transmission. All bodies are fabricated from premium carbon steel plates (3 mm side panels, 4 mm floor), with internal and external anti-rust treatment ensuring excellent sealing performance. The lifting mechanism operates stably, enabling automatic body dumping to eliminate time-consuming and labor-intensive manual operations and significantly improve work efficiency. Rod-type hydraulic hook-lift mechanisms are mounted on the body sides, allowing trash bins to be lifted or lowered within a 10-second cycle. Operation is controlled via an ergonomic hand lever.
