In 2025, a municipal sanitation department responded to new urban environmental governance requirements by establishing a dedicated sewage treatment task force responsible for emergency handling of sludge and wastewater in local rivers, drainage networks, and industrial parks. As this was their first procurement, the team lacked expertise in selecting specialized vehicles and faced multiple challenges: acquiring a yellow-plate sewage treatment vehicle—capable of transportation, solid-liquid separation, and preliminary purification—within a tight budget (capped at approximately RMB 568,000 per local procurement conventions); while also ensuring the vehicle could withstand Nanchang’s hot, rainy summers and cold, humid winters, and navigate complex road conditions. The unit issued a public tender to solicit supplier participation. Hubei Chengli Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd.
