Case Background: Vehicle Procurement Driven by Flood Season and Holiday Support Requirements. In summer 2025, a municipal sanitation department in a district of Ordos launched a procurement project for sewage treatment vehicles to address emergency sewage handling needs during the flood season and major holidays (e.g., the Nadam Fair). In line with local procurement practices, the budget was capped at approximately RMB 3.953 million, with plans to procure five units of the new Dongfeng sewage treatment vehicles—designed for rapid suction, drainage, and treatment of wastewater from low-lying areas, plazas, and temporary event venues—to ensure environmental cleanliness and safety. Based on publicly available tender information, the project specified clear technical requirements for the vehicles: high-efficiency suction capability, solid-liquid separation, and preliminary purification functions; a Dongfeng-branded chassis to ensure access to localized service networks; and delivery completion prior to the onset of the flood season. Chengli Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Chengli')—leveraging its extensive experience in manufacturing sanitation vehicles—submitted a tailored solution and ultimately delivered five units of the CLW5070GSSD6 Dongfeng sewage treatment vehicle (modified on the Dongfeng DOLICA chassis).
Vehicle Configuration and Solution Overview
The core of Chengli’s proposal was the new Dongfeng sewage treatment vehicle, model CLW5070GSSD6, whose complete technical specifications are officially registered in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announcement database. Key configurations include:
Chassis: Dongfeng DOLICA, meeting China VI emission standards—fully compliant with local environmental regulations.
Tank Capacity: Approximately 5.5 cubic meters, sufficient for single-operation volume requirements.
Sewage Treatment System: Equipped with a high-power vacuum pump (suction rate ≥10 m³/hour) and a solid-liquid separation unit capable of removing sludge and debris while performing preliminary water purification.
Lifting Mechanism: Hydraulic self-dumping system for efficient residue discharge.
Other Features: Includes high-pressure cleaning gun, warning lights, and other accessories to support operations in complex environments.
A key feature of this solution is its 'multi-functionality': the vehicle can perform sewage suction and drainage, and—with interchangeable attachments—also carry out road surface cleaning or greenery irrigation. According to feedback from the procuring entity, this model demonstrated high operational availability and low failure rates during emergency response missions—largely attributable to Dongfeng’s nationwide chassis warranty program and Chengli’s lifetime after-sales support for the superstructure.
Delivery and Emergency Support Performance
Chengli strictly adhered to the agreed delivery schedule: from contract signing to vehicle dispatch, only 12 days elapsed (within the standard 7–15-day lead time for conventional models), ensuring timely deployment before the flood season. Immediately following delivery, all five vehicles were deployed for support operations during the local Nadam Fair. According to client feedback, over the one-week event period, the five vehicles collectively operated for more than 80 hours and treated approximately 400 cubic meters of sewage—with zero downtime caused by equipment failure.
During emergency support operations, Chengli’s after-sales service network played a critical role. During one nighttime operation, a vacuum pump on one vehicle emitted abnormal noise. The operator promptly contacted Chengli’s after-sales hotline (); technicians conducted remote diagnostics and guided temporary remediation. Spare parts were dispatched directly from Chengli’s Suizhou factory the following morning and replacement and repair were completed within 24 hours. This integrated service model—combining Dong
