- First, inspect the fuse for blowout.
- Next, disconnect the horn’s electrical plug and use a multimeter to check for voltage at the plug terminals while pressing the horn button.
- If no voltage is detected, inspect the horn wiring harness and horn relay.
- If voltage is present, the horn itself is faulty. Try adjusting the horn’s tone-adjustment nut—if still silent, replacement is required.
**Troubleshooting the Power Take-Off (PTO) – A Critical Sprinkler Truck Component:**
Proper PTO operation is fundamental to the sprinkler truck’s functionality. If the vehicle fails to discharge water, the PTO must be thoroughly inspected. Hubei Chengli recommends the following diagnostic procedure:
**Step 1:** Check whether the drive shaft between the PTO and the pump is rotating. If it remains stationary, the PTO or its associated solenoid valve is likely defective.

**Step 3:** If Steps 1 and 2 reveal no issues, disassemble the PTO unit mounted on the transmission. Since internal faults cannot be visually identified externally, examine:
- Bearing wear or damage;
- Gear tooth damage or wear;
- Air chamber leakage.
If bearing or gear damage is found, promptly contact the manufacturer to replace the affected components—or the entire PTO assembly.
