Hubei Chengli Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd. is a leading domestic manufacturer specializing in compression-type garbage trucks. As a critical piece of equipment for urban sanitation, compression garbage trucks face strong market demand and high technical requirements, shouldering vital responsibilities for environmental hygiene and urban development. Over the years, Chengli’s sanitation vehicle production has continuously upgraded its manufacturing processes, adopted increasingly advanced equipment, and imposed ever-stricter quality control—rigorously ensuring excellence and striving for continuous improvement—to deliver higher-end, more economical, and more practical garbage truck solutions to customers nationwide.
As a premium-class sanitation vehicle, the compression garbage truck features tightly integrated components and operating systems, demanding superior sealing performance, smooth hydraulic control circuits, and precise, efficient electronic operation. During routine use, users inevitably encounter various issues; over time and with accumulated workload, minor or major malfunctions may arise. Therefore, having effective, rapid, and cost-efficient troubleshooting methods becomes essential. Below are common issues encountered with compression garbage trucks—and their corresponding solutions:
I. Excessive Operational Noise
Poor sound insulation and high operational noise represent a widespread issue among domestic compression garbage trucks, often disturbing nearby residents. To address this, Hubei Chengli selects low-noise chassis, engines, and power take-off (PTO) units during design and manufacturing. Additional measures include: enhancing system motion stability to reduce vibration; using noise-absorbing materials; optimizing structural design to minimize resonance; and refining hydraulic and loading mechanisms through precision machining and high-quality assembly—all aimed at significantly reducing operational noise.
II. Poor Sealing Reliability
Municipal solid waste is a mixed solid-liquid medium; thus, preventing leakage and odor dispersion during collection and transport is paramount. The following solutions are implemented:
(1) Installing an edge baffle between the hopper and the compaction ram to prevent garbage spillage;
(2) Designing the cargo box floor with a slight incline to prevent leachate runoff;
(3) Fitting a wastewater collection trough beneath the compaction ram to capture seepage between the cargo box and ram;
(4) Reinforcing the seal at the interface between the compaction ram and cargo box to prevent garbage ejection and leachate leakage during compression.
III. Low Rated Payload Utilization
Reducing the vehicle’s tare weight while maximizing payload efficiency helps lower overall operating costs. Given the complex superstructure and relatively high self-weight of compression garbage trucks, chassis selection prioritizes high-tech, high-power, lightweight, and cost-effective models.
IV. Operator Comfort & Ergonomics
To enhance operability, mechanical controls have been replaced with electronic controls, complemented by an electronic operation monitoring system. This upgrade improves operational accuracy and safety while significantly reducing driver fatigue.
